C2G Partners is seeking a Marketing Controls – Governance Writer consultant for a financial services client.  The Global Marketing Control group is responsible for driving a centralized control function, including functions focused on closing open MRA’s and mitigating future such items as well.  The team is specifically focused on driving consistent marketing requirements across each business function, while driving radical digitization and simplification through the rollout of streamlined digital governance approval processes that support our agile operating model.

 

 

The Governance Writer Contractor responsibilities include:

  • Work as integral partner across varied functional groups in order to champion progress relating to Sales Practices
  • Coordinate with Co-brand Marketing Teams to create procedures for partner associates and work with control team to create a process around ongoing maintenance process
  • Ensure detailed documentation of processes and controls which cultivate and support a sustainable and repeatable control environment
  • Identify and immediately escalate potential control gaps; ensure findings are applied consistently across all applicable functions
  • Responsible for developing procedures based on detailed training or other documentation provided to them
  • Coordinate with Branded Cards Marketing Control for implementation of newly created procedure manual to meet Legal/Compliance review and adherence of required ongoing maintenance and approval processes
  • Gain buy-in and support from Channel managers to provide appropriate level of information in order to develop procedures
  • Working with partners (product teams/co-brand partners), Alorica, branch) to ensure alignment
  • Ensure leadership is kept abreast of project plans and impacts to ensure cross-functional updates are executed flawlessly

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years work experience in a control function supporting a consumer credit environment with focus on Credit Card Operations/ Marketing
  • Experience in consumer banking operations, marketing and operational risk management with a comprehensive understanding of requirements for marketing policy/process execution
  • Working knowledge of marketing policy/procedure management and processes to clearly document processes, requirements, and controls at the appropriate level of detail
  • Strong orientation around quality control techniques, change management and quality assurance processes
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a high sense of urgency
  • Thorough written and verbal communication/listening, and influencing/negotiation skills
  • Experience with regulatory and internal audit/compliance processes
  • Ability to embrace change, challenge the status quo and works collaboratively across the firm to drive results Critical, quick, detail-oriented thinker with strong analytic acumen
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with strong results orientation
  • Cooperation and focus in achieving group and business objectives
